iCloud Sync
Stage Traxx can automatically synchronize your data across all your devices using iCloud. This includes audio files, PDFs, playlists, lyrics, song edits, and device-agnostic app settings. Changes made while offline are tracked and uploaded once you reconnect.

Prerequisites
Before enabling iCloud Sync, ensure:
- You are signed into iCloud on your device
- You have sufficient iCloud storage space for your audio files
- You can check your available storage in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage
Note
Audio files can take up significant storage space. If you have a large song library, make sure your iCloud plan has enough capacity.
Enabling iCloud Sync
To enable cloud synchronization, tap the More Options button in the main view to open the iCloud Sync dialog, then toggle Enable iCloud Sync on.
When you enable iCloud Sync, the app checks for existing data:
- If only your local device has data, it uploads to the cloud automatically
- If only the cloud has data, it downloads to your device automatically
-
If both contain data, you'll be asked to choose how to handle the conflict:
- Merge Data: Combines local and cloud data without deleting anything. This is the safest option if you want to keep everything from both sources.
- Replace iCloud Data: Overwrites the cloud data with your local data. Use this if your local device has the correct data.
- Replace Local Data: Overwrites your local data with the cloud data. Use this if the cloud has the correct data.
Sync Status
The main view displays sync status in the status area above the current song title. In the iCloud Sync dialog, you can see more details including pending changes and how long ago the last sync occurred. If synchronization fails, an error message will appear.
iCloud Connection
Shows the current connection status to iCloud servers:
- Connected: The iCloud servers are reachable and you are successfully signed in.
- Unreachable: There is an active internet connection, but the iCloud servers cannot be reached or your account cannot access them.
- Offline: There is no internet connection.
Manual Sync
Synchronization happens automatically, but you can trigger a manual sync by tapping Sync Now in the iCloud Sync dialog. This is useful if you've made changes on another device and want to see them immediately.
Removing Cloud Data
Warning
Disable iCloud Sync on all your devices before deleting cloud data. Otherwise, devices with sync still enabled may lose their data.
To delete your data from iCloud, tap Delete All Cloud Data in the iCloud Sync dialog.
Alternatively, you can remove the data through your device's Settings app: Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > Stage Traxx 4 > Delete Data.
Troubleshooting
If you experience sync issues:
- Changes may not appear immediately on other devices — switching screens or triggering a manual sync usually reveals updates
- If data seems out of sync, try using Sync Now
- Reinstalling the app and enabling iCloud Sync immediately will restore your data from the cloud
- For persistent problems, use Create Support Email in Settings to contact support
