Queue
The queue is the list of songs scheduled for playback. By default, Stage Traxx manages the queue automatically, but you can also manage it manually for more control during performances.
Tip
Think of the queue like a conveyor belt: songs move forward and, once played, fall off the end. There's only ever the current song and upcoming songs — you navigate the queue in one direction only. If you need to replay a song, you'll need to add it to the queue again.
Automatic Queue Handling
With automatic queue handling enabled (the default), tapping a song replaces the current queue with that song and the songs that follow it in the current view:
- In the Songs view: The queue fills with the selected song and the following songs based on the current sort order.
- In a Playlist: The queue fills with the playlist starting from the selected song.
Up to 48 songs are scheduled automatically.
To disable automatic queue handling and manage the queue entirely by hand, see Automatic Queue Handling in Settings.
Adding Songs to the Queue
Tip
With automatic queue handling disabled, double-tap a song to quickly add it to the queue.
You can manually add songs to the queue at any time. Swipe right on a song to access these options:

- Play Next: Places the song at the top of the queue
- Add to Queue: Places the song at the bottom of the queue
The context menu (long press, or right-click with a mouse) provides an additional option:
- Add from Here: Adds the selected song and the following songs to the end of the queue
Note
When automatic queue handling is enabled, tapping a song replaces the queue and removes any manually added items. Use the swipe or context menu actions above to add songs without replacing the queue.
Adding a Playlist
Swipe right on a playlist or use the context menu to access these options:
- Play Next: Replaces the queue with the contents of the playlist
- Add to Queue: Appends the playlist to the end of the queue
Managing the Queue
Open the queue by tapping the Queue button in the infobar. This button is visible when Automatic Queue Handling is disabled or Show Queue is enabled. The button displays a badge showing the number of songs in the queue.

The toolbar at the bottom of the queue contains:
- Autoplay button: Enables autoplay for the entire queue
- Status: Shows the number of songs and total duration
- Trash icon: Clears all songs from the queue
Note
Changes you make to the queue do not affect any playlist that was loaded into it.
Reordering Songs
Tap and hold the drag handle on a song, then drag it to a new position in the queue.
Swipe right on a song or use the context menu to access these options:

- Move to Top: Moves the song to the top of the queue
- Move to Bottom: Moves the song to the bottom of the queue
Note
The currently playing first song cannot be moved or removed during playback.
Removing Songs
Swipe left on a song and tap the trash icon to remove it from the queue.

Toggle Loop
When loop is enabled for a song, it repeats continuously until you manually advance to the next song. Repeat takes priority over autoplay — a repeating song will not advance automatically.
Swipe left on a song and select to toggle loop for that song. You can also toggle loop from the context menu.
Toggle Autoplay
When autoplay is enabled, the next song in the queue begins playing automatically when the current song ends. This allows continuous playback without gaps between songs.
Use the down arrow icon in the toolbar to enable autoplay for the entire queue, or swipe left on a song and select to toggle autoplay for that song individually. You can also toggle autoplay from the context menu.
Sorting the Queue
Use the sort button in the top navigation bar to quickly organize the queue:
- A–Z: Sort alphabetically by title
- Z–A: Sort reverse alphabetically
- Shuffle: Randomize the order
Warning
Sorting the queue cannot be undone and will destroy any manual order.
