Playback Settings
Configure how Stage Traxx handles playback, queuing, and safety features during live performances.
General
Start Delay
Adds a delay before playback begins. When you press play at the beginning of a song, the play button turns yellow and waits for the configured time before starting playback. Press the button again to cancel the delayed start.
Save Track Mute Changes
When enabled, any changes you make to track mute states during playback are saved to the song. When disabled, mute changes are temporary and reset when you switch to another song.
Stop Behavior
Controls what happens when you press stop during playback:
- Pause: Pauses playback at the current position.
- Rewind: Returns the playhead to the beginning of the song.
- Next Song: Loads the next song into the player.
Song End Behavior
Controls what happens when playback reaches the end of a song:
- Next Song: Automatically loads the next song into the player.
- Pause: Pauses at the end of the song without loading the next one.
Seek Step Size
Sets how many seconds a single seek action moves the playhead when using remote controls.
Speed Step Size
Sets the percentage change for each speed adjustment when using remote controls.
Volume Step Size
Sets how many dB the volume changes for each volume adjustment when using remote controls.
Queue
Stage Traxx uses a queue to manage which songs are lined up for playback. In most cases, the queue works automatically and you don't need to manage it directly. See Queue for details on how the queue works.
Automatic Queue Handling
Controls whether songs are automatically added to the queue when selected. When disabled, selecting a song does not add it to the queue or load it into the player. Use double-tap or swipe-right gestures in the song list or playlist to manually add songs to the queue.
Show Queue
Controls whether the queue is visible in the sidebar. This option is only available when automatic queue handling is enabled. With automatic queue handling disabled, the queue sidebar is always accessible.
Metronome
Configure the audio and visual feedback for the metronome. The metronome helps you stay in sync with songs that have tempo information.
Sound
Select a sound sample for the metronome click from the available options.
Flash Color
Sets the color used to flash the content area border on each metronome beat. This provides a visual cue that complements the audio click, which can be helpful in loud environments or when monitoring through headphones.
Safety
These settings help prevent accidental actions during a live performance. When enabled, the specified actions require a double-tap to trigger. This applies to both on-screen buttons and remote control commands.
Double-Tap Play
Requires a double-tap to start playback.
Double-Tap Stop
Requires a double-tap to stop playback.
Double-Tap Crossfade
Requires a double-tap to crossfade to another song.
Allow Seek during Playback
Controls whether seeking via the playbar or waveform view is allowed during playback. Seeking is always available when playback is stopped.
Master Tuning
Adjust the tuning for all songs globally. This is useful when playing with instruments that are tuned differently from standard concert pitch.
Info
When master tuning is active, a status indicator appears at the top of the screen.
Coarse
Adjusts the pitch in semitone increments. Range: ±6 semitones.
Fine
Adjusts the pitch in cent increments for precise tuning. Range: ±99 cents.
Tip
Double-tap the slider to reset fine tuning to 0.
