Audio
The Audio tab lets you manage audio tracks and adjust playback settings for a song. You can add up to 32 tracks per song.
Note
Older devices may not be capable of playing 32 tracks simultaneously. Monitor the CPU meter in the title area to check your device's limits. Keep average CPU usage below 40% if you want to crossfade between songs, or below 70% otherwise. Occasional peaks above these values are fine.
This tab displays its full form only when the song has at least one audio track. Without audio tracks, the tab is mostly empty.

The navigation bar includes a waveform button that lets you select which track to use for rendering the waveform display. You can choose a specific track or a mixdown of all tracks.
Audio Tracks
A list of all tracks added to the song, showing the track number, track name, and audio filename for each. Tap the Add Tracks button below the list to add new tracks — you can select multiple audio files at once, and each file creates a new track. If a Filename Format is configured, Stage Traxx will parse track properties from each filename automatically. If the format string does not match a filename, that track's properties are set to their defaults. Use drag and drop to rearrange tracks.
Tap a track row to edit its Track Details. Tracks with missing audio files display a replace button to select a new file. Swipe left or use the context menu to replace the audio file or delete the track.
Filename Format
Tap the Filename Format button above the track list to define a pattern for automatically parsing track properties from audio filenames when adding tracks.

The format string can contain plain text and placeholders enclosed in % signs. Do not include the file extension in the format string. When a file is added, Stage Traxx matches the filename against the pattern and sets the corresponding track properties. Tap a tag in the Tags list to insert it at the current cursor position.
The following placeholders are supported:
| Placeholder | Description |
|---|---|
%name% |
Track name. Truncated to 8 characters. |
%color% |
Track colour. Accepted values: red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, pink, gray. |
%bus% |
Output bus, using the same 1–16 numbers shown in the mixer (e.g. 1 = Bus 1). |
%transpose% |
Pitch transposition enabled flag. Accepted values: on, off, yes, no, true, false, 1, 0. |
%mutegrps% |
Mute group assignment. Write the group numbers 1–6 as a run of digits (e.g. 136 assigns mute groups 1, 3, and 6). |
%dummy% |
Matches any text without capturing it. Use this for parts of the filename you want to ignore, such as a song title or prefix. |
Example
%name%_%color%_%bus%applied toKick_red_1.wavsets the track name toKick, the colour to red, and routes it to Bus 1.%dummy% - %name%applied toMySong - Drums.wavignores the song title prefix and sets the track name toDrums.%dummy%_%name%_%bus%_%mutegrps%applied toShow_Keys_3_24.wavsets the name toKeys, the bus to 3, and assigns mute groups 2 and 4.

A volume slider for the entire song. This acts as a DCA (Digitally Controlled Amplifier) that controls the volume of all tracks together while keeping their relative levels intact.
Double-tap the slider to reset to 0 dB.
Trim
Trim the start and end of songs to remove silence or unwanted sections. Trimmed portions appear in dark gray in the waveform view and progress bar.
Start
Sets the start time with millisecond precision. The Auto button automatically trims any section at the start where the volume is below -54 dB.
End
Sets the end time with millisecond precision. The Auto button automatically trims any section at the end where the volume is below -64 dB.
Fade In
Sets a fade-in duration for the song, up to 10 seconds. Set to 0 to disable.
Fade Out
Sets a fade-out duration for the song, up to 10 seconds. Set to 0 to disable.
Pitch & Speed
Adjust the pitch and speed for this song. Pitch changes only apply to tracks with the Transpose option enabled (see Track Details), allowing you to exempt drums and percussion from transposition.

Change the pitch by up to ±6 semitones.
Tune
Fine-tune the pitch in cents (100 cents equals one semitone). Range: ±50 cents.
Double-tap to reset to 0.
