2. Overview

We take data protection seriously. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our website (stagetraxx.com) and our app (StageTraxx).

Short version: We collect minimal data. The website uses privacy-focused analytics without tracking. The app stores all data locally on your device.

3. Website

3.1 Hosting

This website is hosted on a server in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH). We do not retain server access logs.

3.2 Contact by Email

If you contact us via email, we process your email address and message content to respond to your inquiry.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or legitimate interest in responding to inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention: We retain correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your request, and for up to 3 years afterward for potential follow-up questions or legal claims.

3.3 Support Forum (support.stagetraxx.com)

Our support forum uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against automated spam and abuse during login.

When you access the login page, reCAPTCHA collects:

  • IP address
  • Browser data and device information
  • Mouse movements and interaction patterns

This data is transmitted to Google LLC, USA. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest in protecting our services from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you log in to the support forum, a session cookie is stored in your browser to keep you logged in. This cookie is deleted when you log out or close your browser.

This is a strictly necessary cookie required for the login functionality you requested. No consent is required under TTDSG § 25(2).

3.5 Analytics (GoatCounter)

We use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to collect anonymous usage statistics. GoatCounter:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not collect personal data
  • Does not track users across sites
  • Anonymizes IP addresses (only the country is derived, then the IP is discarded)

Data collected includes: page URL, referrer, browser type, screen size, and country.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest in understanding website usage to improve our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting: GoatCounter is self-hosted on our own server in Germany. No analytics data is shared with third parties.

3.6 SSL/TLS Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. Encrypted connections are identified by “https://” in the URL and the lock icon in your browser.

3.7 No Tracking Cookies or Third-Party Analytics

Apart from the essential session cookie described above and privacy-focused GoatCounter analytics, this website does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or invasive analytics services.

4. StageTraxx App

4.1 Local Data Storage

StageTraxx stores all your data locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers.

4.2 iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud Sync in the app settings, your data is uploaded to Apple’s iCloud servers to sync between your devices.

This feature is disabled by default. You must explicitly enable it.

When enabled, Apple processes your data according to their privacy policy. Apple may store data on servers outside the EU.

Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — you actively choose to enable this feature.

To disable: Go to the app settings and turn off iCloud Sync. You can also manage or delete iCloud data in your device’s Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.

4.3 No Analytics or Third-Party SDKs

The app does not include analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or any other third-party services that collect data.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data (Art. 15)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing (Art. 7(3))

6. Right to Lodge a Complaint

8. Objection to Unsolicited Marketing

We object to the use of contact data published in this imprint for sending unsolicited advertising materials. We reserve the right to take legal action against senders of spam.
